JMA Architecture

Experience includes 15 years using Revit Architecture and 4 years' using Autodesk Construction Cloud on a variety of architectural and interior design projects. This experience includes Revit Modelling and Rendering including video walkthroughs using Enscape. Responsibilites include project coordination, code analysis, and construction drawings. Project types include municipal, county, and state projects. Current projects include work for the University System of Georgia Board of Regents. Recent projects include a 60,000 SF Georgia Bureau of Investigation Regional Crime Lab near Savannah, Georgia, and various county projects.

BIM-Manager: Created Company-Standard Work-Shared Revit file for project creation. Authored our Revit Project Framework Manual including office standards and tutorials. Compiled company-standard library of Revit families and created custom families for office-wide use. These libraries are organized according to specification division and are accessed through a Revit Family Browser Add-In.

Associate + Senior Project Manager - ASD|SKY, Inc.

Senior Project Manager - Interior Architecture projects in Washington, D.C. office for 15 years. Responsibilities included client contact, space planning, code analysis, design development, construction documents, detailing, construction administration, quality control, BOMA square footage analyses, and coordination with consultants. I also supervised and trained junior designers and monitored in-house budgets and production schedules.

My project management and design experience in Washington, D.C. included the Ford’s Theatre Mechanical and Accessibility Renovation as well as the schematic design for the new Ford’s Theatre Visitors Center adjacent to the Theatre. This project received the 2009 District of Columbia Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation and Restoration/Rehabilitation and the 2009 National Park Service Accessibility Award for Design.

Other project management and design experience included an 800-workstation 120,000 SF Call Center interior renovation for Earthlink in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; numerous law firm interior renovations in the D.C. area; expansion of Amazon.com’s main computer facility in Chantilly, Virginia (interior renovation); the Pentagon’s Back-Up Network Operations Center (interior fit-out); United Healthcare interior renovation projects; and Navy Federal Credit Union branch offices (interior renovations) from Maryland to Florida.

Developed company-wide CAD standards and created and organized a library accessible through a menu-accessed system of dialogue boxes with thumbnail previews of each item. I also wrote menu macros and scripts to automate sheet setup. These were deployed in all five offices.

Work Environment: The typical office size was 10 persons (1 - 2 licensed design professionals). Each person worked on their own projects with occasional support from others.
